This web based course notes are developed in relation to the course 'Physics of the circulation and respiration'. It is clearly a trial version and not meant for further distribution. The course material is based on a course starting out as 'Physiological Physics' at the Delft University of Technology at that time given by prof. Jos Spaan. This course is still given but now by prof. Jenny Dankelman. The idea is that the development of the course material will be a combine effort of the two institutions. Copyright of the material is for now with the lecturers mentioned above. However, especially graphic material is used without, yet, the appropriate acknowledgments. It is therefore clear that the material has to be treated with confidentiality.
